Spectrum Phone2Go

Phone 2 Go is an app by Spectrum (formerly known as Time Warner Cable) that allows family members to use their home phone number on their mobile or tablet devices to receive calls, video calls, and text messages.

My task was to conceptually update its UI (and its UX if necessary) that was originally designed for iOS 6 into a brighter, simpler, and more modern design. UI updates seemed quite simple; incorporate flat design and use the brighter end of their brand colors. But I saw that it desperately needed some UX revamp as well. I tried to declutter the top bar with hamburger menu and settings menu, as well as reorganize the contents of the bottom tabs. As part of this conceptual design, I also created several UI for Apple Watch. This was my first time designing for such a small screen space, but I managed by keeping the design very simple.

Due to the acquisition of TWC, this project never went live, but it was an excellent opportunity for me to take a deep dive into the world of mobile UX and UI.
